The Greatest Betrayal of 1905

In 1880's Korea was forced to open its doors to the world by foreign powers.  The Koreans may cry about it but they realized now that they must catch up to the growing powers of the west and the Japanese.  The Korean were in good terms with the Americans for social connections, trade and modernization until 1905, when the Japanese manipulated them into stabbing the back of their new friend just to get their hands on Korea in exchange for recognition for America's sphere of influence of the Philippines.  To all Americans who see this cartoon, never betray your friend for what you want, we need friends like Korea to make America strong.  To Korea, always remember to know who your friends truly are and who are your worst enemies; it's not America, its yourselves.
